Charles W seriously wounded on the RR (B & O)

From what I can put together... he was a Wreckmaster - I now believe that means he operated the crane car and was responsible for picking up damaged goods as well as train wreckage. That January was one of the snowiest on record. I guess he was working on or close to the tracks and was crushed.

His death record lists cause as sepsis from multiple injuries.

Seems there was an inquest as well.

That is your great grandfather!
